Sorry about not reporting on what has been happening on Nancy's operation.  But its been a merry-go-round the last few days.
Ok here goes. The hospital called late Monday evening to tell Nancy be there at 5:00am Tuesday morning. Now that in its self wasn't good because she doesn't even think of functioning that early in the morning.  The operation went well. She is very sore and still in a lot of pain, taking a couple of pain pills every six hours. This has very little relief, but is expected in such an operation. The guy with the implanted stimulator company was there yesterday to do the first phase of setting it up. She does have the remote now that she can adjust it to make her more comfortable.  It will take time for the healing of the wound.
This is the sunset Tuesday evening I saw coming into the park.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Tomorrow's the day

The last few days we have been cloudy for the most part.
Like Saturday, but at late evening it cleared up to be nice.
We have the forecast for rain each day this week.
Tomorrow is the day for Nancy's surgery and she is getting more nervous(anxious) or whatever word would fit in here. She's just hoping that this relieves the pain in her back.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Around the house

Just been doing the small stuff that needs attention around the house, like cleaning the leaves out of the gutters. Just to keep busy and trying not to get stiff in the joints.
I think Nancy is getting a little nervous about her surgery Tuesday morning. I can understand that.  The doctor told her it would take around three and a half hour to do the stimulator implant.
Today is another Saturday already and that means another college basketball game day for me.
I may do some more small things around the house today. It seems as though I can find something to do each time I look around

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Just things

Well the basketball games Saturday. Some were good and some not so good.
Monday Nancy and I were at the doctor. I was there for a follow up on my knee which looked better but not completely well. The doctor gave me another shot, this time in the knee joint and a couple of prescriptions for more medicine.  Nancy had to have the doctor give his ok before the spine doctor to do the stimulator implant in her back.
Yesterday it was to Walmart for a load of groceries.
There are no plans for today but I'm sure something will come up that needs to be attended to.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Flowers and Candy

The last few days have been cold for us.
I went to Walmart for a few things Thursday. The birds were in the parking lot looking for some food.
Friday we were going out to eat with Sam and Carolyn at the Souix City Steakhouse but changed our mind and went to Golden Corral instead. This worked out good. They had a couple of tables set up for couples that had been married 50 plus years and also the ladies were not charged for their meal. The ladies also received a flower.
Nancy didn't want me to get her anything, but after fifty some years I wasn't about to stop. She got her flowers and a box of candy.
Yesterday was Nancy's day and today being Saturday is my day watching the college basketball games.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week-end.

Past several days

Saturday was the usual college basketball game day where I was parked on the couch all day.  I've been doing this for years.
Monday it was a trip to Lowes, Home Depot and last to Ace Hardware before finding the fittings for the water project that I had. I have a hose hookup in the back of the house and I wanted one out front under the carport so I wouldn't have to stretch out fifty plus hose to wash the car. Its really not that hard to it but dragging the hose through the sand and back was no fun and I find out that making things  little easy makes things also go faster.
Then it was to the Sams Club to get a few things. After I got back to the house I spent a little ime working on the project.

Yesterday was park parade.
The nursing home on a field trip.
The park clowns that goes to the area nursing homes to entertain the old folks.
Even had a Duck Dynasty golf cart.
Uncle Si look alike. I have never watched the Duck Dynasty program.
Our own Orchid Lake firefighters.
After the parade cleared Nancy had to go to the Trinity Hospital for here pre-op which took from 2:00 until around 4:30.
From there it was to Bob Evans for dinner where I had a buy one get one free dinner.
After getting back to the house I had a little time before dark to finish up the water under the carport project. It was a long full day.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.

Good eating

Yesterday we went down to Safety Harbor to the Quality Sausage House to buy some Hungarian meats.  The place had a crowd of people buying the fresh meats and sausages. I bought a few things that are supposed to not be healthy for you but taste o good. I grew up eating this stuff and I'm used to eating it. Nancy likes some of it but cannot handle part of it.
On the way back we stopped and did a little shopping at the Save A Lot Store. Their  canned vegetable are quite a bit cheaper than many store and are good.
After getting home we unpacked all we bought. I got a couple of Wendy's coupons buy one sandwich  and get one free plus a coupon for a free chili with any purchase.
We just relaxed the rest of the evening.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Out today

I guess everyone is about over the Superbowl.  I didn't think the commercials were that great either.
Yesterday I took Nancy to get her hair cut and afterwards I asked her if she thought she could take a little walk in the park since it was such a nice day?  She said she would try it.
So we went the short distance to the New Port Richey Town Park.  We got close to the pier and noticed that it looked like it was down on one side and commented how dangerous it looked.
This is sign we saw when we got to the pier.  It was closed but there was no repairs going on.  I guess they will have to contract it out.
Nancy did make it around even though she had to stop about four times to rest.  At least she did get out a little bit.  Maybe more the next time.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

I'm still here

Well almost all here.  Monday Nancy went to see the kidney doctor and she told Nancy that she was holding her own.  Which she says is about all she can do. After the kidney are damaged she told Nancy that her numbers might go up some but the kidney will not get any better. All she can hope for is to stay at stage 4.
I started  to feel lousy around noon Monday and as the day progressed  I felt like I was taking the flu, that and a sinus infection didn't feel very good. That plus the knee that fills up with fluid from time to time became inflamed. I went to the doctor they gave me a couple of shots and prescription for a couple of antibiotic pills.  The doc said to come back Thursday and I did and they gave me another shot.
Well anyway I'm feeling better not 100% but a lot better.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day
