Unusual Day

Yesterday it was back to JB Starkey Park to walk. This park is close so the price of fuel now we don't want to waste any. Besides this is a good place to walk, out in the fresh air and sometimes we do see something new in the way of birds or little critters.

On the way out of the Park I stopped so we could walk out behind the education center that they have. There is a short boardwalk here and we haven't walked it for a while.
There are a few orange trees along the way. There may have been an orange grove here years and years ago before it was turned into a park. No one takes care of these trees but they have some of the best looking oranges I have seen. Oh,I was just itching to pick one of them but they were out of reach.

At the end of the boardwalk there is a small stream thats the start of a river.
We really got a surprise when we saw this peacock on the boardwalk. She was a beautiful bird and she knew it. She let Nancy get close enough to touch her tail feathers. This was for sure a different day than we had expected it to be. Like I say you never know what will turn up when you go out walking in the wild. I know Nancy liked this better than some of the snakes we have seen.
Again last night was spent watching the basketball games and it will be the same for tonight.
Have yourself a great day and do come back.
